The I International Workshop on Marine Chemical Ecology and Bioproducts will be held at National School of Tropical Botany, Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden (See more at: http://en.jbrj.gov.br) on August 25ᵗʰ and 26ᵗʰ, 2016.

The idea of this meeting in Rio de Janeiro State, which is recognized as “the cradle of the Brazilian Marine Chemical Ecology”, came up from the need to bring the related people of this State together to discuss about their research. It will provide environment to evaluate the scientific tendencies of the workgroups and to strengthen the collaboration among them, contributing with the knowledge about the Brazilian marine ecosystems, their functional chemical diversity and as a source of bioproducts.

The workshop is a satellite event to the "15ᵗʰ International Symposium on Marine Natural Products (MaNaPro)" which will take place in the city of Fortaleza, from August 29ᵗʰ to September 02nd, 2016.

Undoubtedly, this event will promote exchange of great scientific relevance among national and international research groups.
